Suki-Ya@Setapak Central offers an inviting atmosphere for those craving a Japanese buffet experience. Located conveniently in Kuala Lumpur, it is a go-to place for hotpot enthusiasts. As several diners like 'Peico Aiman' noted, the extensive selection of fresh ingredients, including premium meats and various vegetables, makes for a personalized and satisfying meal. The interactive cooking concept enhances the dining experience, allowing patrons to craft their unique dishes.
Many reviews highlight the restaurant's friendly staff and swift service, though some customers, such as 'Hasna Zai,' have pointed out the chaos at the cramped vegetable bar during busy hours. The ambiance is pleasant, especially with views of the nearby lake, making it a lovely spot for meals with friends or family.
However, be prepared for long queues, particularly during lunch and dinner peak times, as mentioned by 'E Majid.' Despite the wait, diners rave about the flavorful broths, with the option to choose two kinds per serving, a feature that adds variety to the meal. Overall, Suki-Ya@Setapak Central is recommended for anyone seeking a delightful culinary adventure, balancing quality and a vibrant dining atmosphere.

Review highlights
Based on 885 reviewsPublic reviews of Suki-Ya@Setapak Central commonly highlight its affordable pricing and delicious Japanese buffet, featuring a good variety of fresh ingredients and customizable broth selections. The interactive hotpot experience and attentive, friendly staff contribute positively to the overall dining atmosphere. However, guests frequently note challenges with long waiting times during peak hours and weekends, often exceeding 20 to 30 minutes. Some patrons also mention organizational issues, such as cramped condiment and vegetable bar areas, as well as occasional seating discomfort due to table placement. Despite these concerns, the spacious seating and pleasant location with accommodating service maintain its appeal among diners seeking value and quality in a casual setting.
Good and affordable but not organised well and the food is delicious but not too much types of each The stuff is friendly The waiting time for the lunch in the Weekday is from 20 to 30 minutes I think for the dinner there is no long waiting
Located at Ground floor. Next to exit door to the lake . Nice view. Queue for more than 30 mins to get tables. Spacious seating and comfortable. However i dont like the vege bar at the corner, too small and cramp with everything. When everyone is there added more chaos. Sauces, sushis everything there. Should make it longer tables or a bit center. Staff service was great and fast.
As usual, came at 11 a.m. and waited for the staff to escort us to a table. Quite disappointed because they gave us table number 19 (if I’m not mistaken), which was right under the aircond — the smoke blows straight to our faces. We directly ordered 2 types of soup and beef, lamb, or chicken from the staff. Sauces, vegetables, sushi, and watermelon can be taken from the condiment counter. It’s good that they’ve moved the sushi section next to the drinks area. You can dine for up to 2 hours. Payment can be made by card or cash — not sure about QR.

Love the buffet here. The selections of broth are quite ample, and they let you choose up to 2 types of broth per serving. Not loving the queue here - it is quite testing during peak period, i.e. lunch & dinner and esp weekends.
Selepas berbulan bulan aim nak makan sukiya tapi gagal sebab Q panjang, this time dapat juga akhirnya. Everything is fine. Staff are friendly especially the cashier guy, the shop is clean and service is fast. However i think the price could be revise as the options as not as many as other steamboat places haha.
